Well, I am a college graduate as of Saturday. I cannot believe that four years of college went by so fast and I will not be returning to good ole Birmingham, Alabama in the fall. The college years were great. I have moved home for the summer and I am about to start a new job. I hope that I can adjust living with my parents…I am going from having 5 roommates, with video games in the background and the occasional sounds of my basset hound walking on the floor, to living with my parents, but hopefully one of my friends will be able to live with me to keep me sane. I will be a security guard for a school that is being built. I have never worked the night shift but I am sure it will be awesome…well let’s just hope I adjust to the hours quickly. I will have a lot of time to read, watch movies, and do just about anything else, one of the best summer jobs I have ever had. This is one of the first times in a while that I will spend the summer in my hometown. Hopefully I will have some adventures from the job to mention in the future.   I will miss my friends in bham a lot, it is hard to believe I will not be back there after the summer is over.

  1. War Eagle! (Sorry, I’m from Alabama, so I had to give a shout out, even if you didn’t go to Auburn!) Congratulations on graduation! I just had two friends at Samford just graduate, and I know how excited they were. Enjoy the sweet summer job!

  2. Hey Jay!:-)
Just thought to check your blog too and to get to know you too through this. I am really looking forward to serve together with you too among the rest of those who go to Mexico in september.
I know some people from Birmingham, Alabama!! How cool!!! In the camp where I got saves in 2000 back in Romania, a whole group was there from Birmingham!
