Tonight was our second time to go to the community called San Ignacio. It is about 10 minutes or so by taxi away from Iglesia Emanuel, where we are staying. This community is still feeling the effects of the earthquake. This morning we were able to help do a little cleaning up and this evening we returned to share the Word with them. Nick spoke a little bit and talked about the faithfulness of God. Then we did a short drama illustrating the Gospel, and then we talked about the drama and presented the Gospel with words. There were 5 people to accept Christ this evening. It is our prayer that they grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ. We will be going to San Ignacio every week, sharing the Word with them. San Ignacio is one of the communities that Iglesia Emanuel is planting small cell groups to study and grow in Christ through community. Please lift up this community and pray that the Spirit will teach them about Christ and that Christ would dwell in their hearts through faith. This is a picture of some of the people in this new cell group. I am beginning to see more and more that it is the Spirit working in hearts and not our words, that the Gospel is a revelation that is revealed by the Holy Spirit. (Check out Galatians 1: 15-17)
Nick and I have been working with the Pastors son, Dessy. It has been great working alongside him; not just for his awesome translating skills, but because he is a great friend.
Jason:
I work with your Mom at Ernst & Young, she is so very proud of you and your work – her face lights up with pride and love when speaking about you. I wish you the best of luck on your life’s journey.
Jason, it’s so great seeing you enjoying what you are doing. It’s quite evident you are where you are supposed to be at this time in your life. God has great plans for you. It’s great that Nick is there with you and also that you are making friends there as well. We love you and continue to pray for you and Nick.
Love, Mom and Jimmy
Have a good week!
Tell Dessy I said hello!
